It is easy to keep the RX as a symbol of what is wrong with the Lexus brand – boring to watch, boring to drive, too often – but when a vehicle itself remains very good. The RX exudes a feeling of solidity beyond its size. The interior, though Dour and dark for my taste, impeccably put together and filters almost all outside noise.

The Sonic is a world car, and GM technical center in Korea took the lead in development. Yet there is much about the Sonic specific to our market, including its two engines, extra airbags (for a total of ten), quicker steering, hydraulic engine mounts, additional structural bracing, and, of course, specific chassis tuning . The Sonic is designed in Korea, and it would be reminiscent of a motorcycle (probably a sport bike rather than a Harley). Design manager Kathy Sirvio lent some credibility to that claim, when she revealed that she rides a Moto Guzzi.
